PARIS PARIS

Paris does have the reputation of being the most romantic city in the world. I find that debatable (visit Paris on one of the many rainy days and there's nothing romantic about it), but the city does definitely have a cosmopolitan atmosphere with many world famous site.

I have visited Paris several times; many times these visits were work related, but some were for pleasure. Of course the Eiffel Tower was on the sightseeing list, but I would say that Place du Tetre, Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, Arc de Triumph and the Louvre are much more french than the famous tower.

Paris is very equipped for tourisme and it's easy to move from A to B with the Underground (Metro). As for accommodation, it's awfully expensive and you defintely don't get what you pay for. Besides that, the Parisiens are not the most friendly people in the world. The French are often criticised for their arrogance, and they invented it in Paris.

Nevertheless, Paris is a real city of the world and very much worth a visit.
